Today's puzzle is drawn from Brussels, Bibliothèque royale de Belgique, MS 215-16, 1v (the first opening of the manuscript) where it serves to introduce the Kyrie from Pierre de la Rue's Missa de Septem doloribus beatissime marie (note that the entwined figures represent the letter "K"). The manuscript is described in more detail at the Alamire Foundation's database. The entire manuscript has been made availabe via IIIF (presented in Mirador) by the team at KU Leuven here.'
