Today's puzzle is drawn from Stanford University Library MSS Codex M0379 CB. This fifteenth-century Book of Hours, produced in Ghent, provides a typical example of a late medieval book for private devotion. The image in the puzzle appears on folio 11v, and as Bridget Whearty tells us: "The Hours of the Holy Spirit start on f.11v Navigate to the start of these Hours by looking for a full-page miniature of Pentacost: with the Holy Spirit portrayed as a dove and Mary, along with the disciples, being touched with golden rays."
